Will the value of postage stamps in stamp collecting go down when the forever stamp is introduced?

    No it they have no affect on the prices of collectors stamps. They are stamps that will be used when stamps go up again. NE wayz if anything it will drive the prices up b/c you have collector stamps and the others will always be around.

    It should have no effect on collecting at all. The Forever Stamp is an innovation in stamps as it’s a pay-for-once-good-for-life stamp, meaning when the next price increase in postal stamps occurs, the Forever stamp will still be good regardless of the price when it was purchased.     Almost all British stamps have been “permanent” for decades, and stamp collecting is still strong there. Several other countries, including Canada, also have some version of the permanent/forever stamp. It’s just another stamp and should not harm philately in any way.
